Based on a classic Irish legend, “Promise” tells the struggles of three denizens of a New England seaport bar; Maggie, the owner seeking closure for the accidental death of her late husband; Sledge, confronting the disappointments in his life ( romantic and financial) and Randy, seeking to find a balance between the rational and the spiritual. Combining a traditional play structure and elements of modern dance and ballet, Promise illuminates the collision between our tangible world and the mystical world of our imagination.

Divine Intervention
A new play by Alfred Uhry
Based on historic facts and the book, The Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara by David I. Kertzer, Divine Intervention is set in 1850's Italy where after being secretly baptized by a housemaid as an infant, young Edgardo is taken from his Jewish parents and raised as a Catholic. As the ensuing battle for Edgardo’s custody rages, his mother suffers her own crisis of faith as she clashes with the church, her husband and eventually Edgardo himself in a fight for his soul.

Ninety
A new play by Joanna Murray-Smith
It is no use, but William gives Isabel ninety minutes anyway. They were once married, but something happened. Something broke deep down in the mechanism of their lives together and, seeing no way to repair it, they threw it away. But perhaps they were too hasty? Perhaps there was something they could have done? Isabel just wants ninety minutes. Soon William will be married again, so ninety is all she has to make her case. Ninety to remember what they had. Ninety to regain what was lost. Just ninety to rediscover love or call it a day, forever.
